Wedding Photography

Bath is a beautiful city and has many gorgeous venues for weddings in and around the surrounding areas. Once the location has been decided and before the other thousands of items need to be finalised. There is one major decision to make. Who are you going to get to do the wedding photography?

Wedding Photography Decision

Who is going to capture all the memories and record all the moments of your big day? Who will take the pictures for you to look at and share for the rest of your lives? When it came down to it we looked around, checked portfolios of work, compared prices and number of hours included.

We created a list of pros and cons as you do, mostly comparing wedding photography services, prices and packages. What items were included like number of hours, what date we needed the photographer to be available and finally what we wanted to be captured on our big day.

Where to look?

Yeah you know the answer, we Googled Wedding Photography Bath. One of the results was Wiltshire Wedding Photography. After meeting with Jaime McDine and discussing the date we needed to book. We had to choose if we wanted the getting ready, the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast or the whole day including speeches and our first dance. There were several different packages and we chose the longer which was around 6 hours.

As part of our package we also got an engagement photo shoot at a lovely nearby location. This was included for free in our chosen package and we were able to get comfortable posing in front of the camera. This was a nice touch as it can be a little bewildering striking a pose. It also gave us a chance to see the quality and type of pictures we would get from our wedding. Before you ask there was no blue steel, I left that to Zoolander.

What did we get?

We received the CD’s of pics taken from our engagement photo shoot before the wedding. I think we got over 1000 pictures altogether. 3 CD’s of everything from getting ready before the ceremony all the way through to our first dance. The featured photo on this article above is one example of the venue.

Some of our pictures can be seen below such as the ceremony room at Limpley Stoke Hotel. Everything that we wanted to remember was captured all throughout the day including the speeches and into the evening.

Before the wedding we were asked for a list of all the family photos that we wanted to take. This allowed us to make absolutely sure that we didn’t miss any family out and could get through them all efficiently.

With all the combinations needed, having us create a list before hand made sense. We were able to get through the list in about 30 minutes and we didn’t miss anyone out. This would have been harder to do if we had not prepared the list beforehand.

We obviously have other pics with actual people in them. We are one of the couples that are on the Wiltshire Wedding Photography site. The wife doesn’t want to be famous so I have used a few samples without people. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of Jaime’s pictures which is why we are recommending him here.
