To say I was shocked when I found out that Yo Sushi was closing would have been an understatement. The store found in Milsom Place was always quite packed especially on Blue Mondays and Deliveroo cyclists were frequently collecting orders to be delivered locally. KFC recently closed down in another surprise to Bath residents. Whilst there was some talk about KFC opening a new branch, so far there are no signs visible in town.
Same Sushi New Location
From what we can see the new Yo Sushi branch will be opening in Autumn 2019. The location is right next to Nando’s another personal favourite, near the train station. This is a great location amongst many other well known restaurant chains including Graze, Giraffe and Prezzo.
This location will also have much higher footfall near the train and bus station than the previous premises. The size of the store appears to be fairly similar but may be slightly smaller when you take into account the food conveyor belt.
Competition is increasing
The Sushi market is a growing market and recently Hondo’s Sushi opened to fantastic reviews. We have eaten there several times and can assure you the fish is very fresh, the dishes are varied and very different to the usual chain restaurant options you may be familiar with.
I am looking forward to Yo Sushi returning to Bath especially as they have changed their menu since they left. If you are after a Sushi fix then you should certainly check out Hondo’s you will not be disappointed.
As soon as the new restaurant opens I will write a review to let you know all about the latest menu choices, what I think of the new location and what the customer service is like.
