What’s Happening at M & S Bath?

M & S Bath seems to be going through a few changes both inside and out of the store found on Stall Street. Starting out as a market stall in 1884, M & S has grown into a multinational retailer. It is one of the most recognised, well known and trusted British brands found on our high street. Whilst M & S has recently been in the news for various reasons including management woes and profit warnings. M & S still generates substantial profits even during the trouble felt on the high street. Some fears have been raised that they are not connecting with the marketplace or with millennial’s.

The M & S Bath store recently closed off part of the ground floor which was suspected to be closed for renovations. The ground floor cafe has also closed. The space is most likely being used together with the rest of the closed off ground floor. From the new signs which have been posted on the temporary blue walls a ‘new business’ will be opening soon. What this is or when it will be open is currently unknown. From the photo, the old rotating door has now been completely removed.

Whilst the slightly smaller store should not impact the range M & S has available by much, the exciting opening of a new store will keep us guessing for a little while longer.
